They've already heard the first part of the story: about God's command to Jonah that he go and preach to the people of Nineveh, about how Jonah was so afraid that he tried to hide from God. Now Liddy tells the story of the terrible storm at sea and Jonah's asking to be tossed overboard so that God's anger with him would not cost the lives of the sailers ![]() Being swallowed by the whale!
![]() Is that a satisfied look on the whale's face! ![]() Inside the whale, with only a flashlight to see by, it is at first kind of scary, but soon the children are ready to hear the rest of Jonah's tale.
