It's Sunday, December 21: pageant day. There will be a quick run-through, but the first order of business is finding and donning costumes: sheep and donkeys, wise ones, shepherds . . .

   

Soon there are donkeys, lambs, cows, and camels milling about the sanctuary.

 
 

And a shepherd whose found his lost lamb.

But where are the angels? Their costumes, being more elaborate, take longer to put on and require helping hands.

 

Sorry, little one. But sheep don't get to wear angel wings.

Liddy and Barb review the music cues . . .

while the stage manager helps a late-arriving "littlest" angel into her costume.

The dress rehearsal ends, and it's a good thing. Worshipers are beginning to enter the sanctuary and those littlest angels have the wiggles.

"Places everyone!"

And the pageant begins.
